Tova Ovits graduated from Pace University with a BA in English. While breastfeeding her youngest child, she read The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding and discovered how much she didn't know while nursing her older kids — and she has been dedicated to helping mothers and babies breastfeed ever since.

Tova volunteered with an international breastfeeding peer support organization for several years before becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) — a role she has held for over a decade — to help even more families enjoy a healthy, happy beginning.

In 2019, Tova was elected as an executive officer on the board of the International Lactation Consultant Association, completing her second term in October 2025.

Tova offers prenatal breastfeeding classes and lactation consultation home visits in New Rochelle and Westchester, NY (including Yonkers, Mount Vernon, Pelham, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Bronxville, Tuckahoe, Eastchester, Scarsdale, White Plains, Rye, and Harrison), the Bronx, and the Five Towns of Long Island. She also offers virtual visits.
